AboutAndre Davies

Andre Davies is a fantasy writer. Born in Jamaica and raised in southeast Florida’s cultural melting pot, he loves to weave tales that are epic in scope but find just as much magic in shared meals, rich cultural traditions, and the relationships formed between people from different backgrounds.

He showed up to every Harry Potter book launch at midnight with a lightning bolt drawn on his forehead, and he watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring three times a day the summer it came out on DVD.

Andre graduated from Harvard University with a degree in chemistry, and he was fascinated by how the buildings and residential Houses were brought to life by the legacy of people passing through them, creating institutional traditions that felt like their own brand of magic.

Andre is an avid traveler, drawing inspiration for his imagined worlds from places as varied as the sweeping ocean views along Cape Town’s cliffs and the bustling streets of London.

Andre is a practicing geriatrician in Naples, Florida, and when he’s not dreaming of the worlds he creates, he’s likely experimenting with a new cooking recipe, crafting geode artwork, or dragging a friend or family member to see a new movie.
